President and co-founder: CARLA GAIL TIBBO, BSc, BEd, MBA, CMRP, CMC |
Gail began her career as a statistician, moving into the collection and analysis of data. Working initially with a unit of the United Nations, she joined Canada’s national statistical agency in an executive role. Transferring to industry, she later established operations for a national research firm in Western Canada and then started her own marketing consultancy. She has worked extensively with companies and organizations developing tactical marketing programs, and providing guidance to them at all stages of their marketing activities. Her international experience includes target market analysis, market research and strategic planning, and her clients have ranged from large and small businesses, financial institutions, non-profit/non government organizations and retailers. Gail’s focus at Incisive Marketing is on research, analysis, market intelligence, strategy and target marketing.
Gail is also an educator, and author. She has developed and taught courses at colleges and universities through the Greater Vancouver Area. As the Chair of Marketing for one of BC largest post secondary institutions she was responsible for building international relationships with colleges and universities in Canada, the United States and Mexico. In 2007, she was the key note speaker at a national conference on entrepreneurship sponsored by 17 major universities in Mexico. A frequent contributor to industry and professional publications, Gail has also written several books on marketing. In the private sector, she has developed and delivered courses and seminars on direct and database marketing, competitive intelligence and market intelligence for business professionals.
Professional affiliations include the BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association (BCAMA), the Market Research and Intelligence Association of Canada (MRIA), and the Western Marketing Educators' Association (WEMA). Gail is a board member with the BC Chapter of the MRIA and is on the National Board of Directors, and a member of the Board of Examiners. She pioneered the concept of Market Intelligence, chaired its first portfolio, and organized & chaired Canada’s first two national conferences on market intelligence. Gail is a frequent speaker on marketing topics – she is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of French.
Always active in the community, Gail has served on the boards of charities, foundations and non-profit organizations.

Vice President and co-founder GERARD EDWARDS, MBA, P.Eng, CMC |
Moving from engineering, to senior management and into marketing, Gerard has a rare skill set. He has experience in R&D, applied engineering, manufacturing and installation of complex products and systems, and hands on experience in sales and marketing. Employed in the telecom sector, in Canada and the United States, he spent several years in Turkey on a joint venture with the Turkish Government. Involved directly in contract negotiations and joint ventures, he has been responsible for the establishment and management of sales and distributor networks for several firms. In Canada he owned and operated several telecom, broadcast, avionics and law enforcement equipment companies. As a consultant he has worked with small, medium and large corporations. Gerard’s focus at Incisive is on sales training, sales management, and new business development.
Gerard is an award winning educator and faculty emeritus at a well known academic institution. He has developed, managed and personally delivered programs, courses and seminars on a variety of marketing topics. He has trained and mentored students, instructors and business professionals across North America and internationally in the UAE, Mexico, Malaysia, Thailand and China. He is the architect of a totally revamped and internationally successful certification program for Sales and Marketing Executives International, Inc. He has authored several books on marketing and sales, and has been published in professional journals.
Gerard is a registered professional engineer and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC. He served on the boards of Sales and Marketing Executives Vancouver, as Director on Education and member of the board of Sales and Marketing Executives International, Inc, the Board of Trustees, Certified Marketing & Sales Professionals, for several years. Committed to ongoing community involvement, Gerard is an advisory council member to the Marketing Program at Douglas College.

Mark is an important part of the Incisive Marketing team. His education in Commerce as well as Entrepreneurship and Marketing experience and bilingualism (Spanish) give him the knowledge to attack the challenges presented to him by clients. His drive and commitment to assisting clients achieve their marketing goals truly make him an asset to the company.
From international experience with Mexico and China, to practical education at Royal Roads University, Mark really has the skill set to work with clients to help them achieve their marketing goals. He has consistently proven himself as a hard-working associate who isn’t afraid to go the extra mile for the clients.
